Your host, Thierry Rodari, brings over 14 years of experience as the founder of Fremantle’s Whisper Wine Bar and is a specialist in Nose Education and sensory wine exploration. His approach combines aroma awareness, memory connection, and emotional perception of wine, offering guests a unique and insightful way to experience the Swan Valley.
His passion, storytelling, and deep knowledge of Western Australian wine create a relaxed, engaging, and personal journey thoughtfully tailored to your group.

Interactive Wine Tasting Workshop
Step into a hands-on sensory journey through wine
You won’t just taste wine — you’ll explore it through smell, memory, and guided discovery in a relaxed, interactive workshop designed for all levels.
What happens during the workshop
1. Awakening the senses
We begin with a guided sensory warm-up using curated aroma vials.
You’ll explore familiar scents, challenge your perception, and learn how your nose recognises aromas.
A playful, surprising start that immediately brings everyone into the experience.
2. Discovering the language of wine
Next, we connect aromas to wine.
You’ll learn how key grape varieties express their signature scents, how regions influence style, and how to recognise the main wine faults — explained clearly, without technical overload.
3. Interactive guided tasting
Now the tasting becomes deeper and more focused.
Using a simple, intuitive approach, you’ll explore a curated selection of wines, understand balance and structure, and begin to recognise the personality behind each glass.
Discussion is encouraged, questions welcome, and discoveries shared.
4. A shared sensory experience
By the end, your group won’t just have tasted wine — you’ll have trained your senses, sharpened your perception, and experienced wine in a completely new way.
