1. Prices
All prices are listed in Australian Dollars and include GST. Prices are per person unless otherwise noted and are valid until 31 December 2025.
2. Contract
All bookings are made with Sideways Tours Pty Ltd (ABN and ACN TBC), referred to throughout these terms and conditions as ‘Sideways Tours’.
3. Cancellation and Change Policy
This section outlines the terms for altering or cancelling bookings, depending on the type of tour booked. Please refer to the subsections below.
3.1 Standard Public (Shared) Tours – Customer Changes
One date change is permitted free of charge with more than 10 days’ notice. Less than 10 days’ notice will incur a 50% fee. Additional changes are $50 per booking. Price increases since the original booking will apply. Cancellations more than 10 days out receive a refund minus costs. 2–10 days: 50% refund. Under 48 hours: no refund.
3.2 Special Events and Wine Experiences
Cancellations more than 14 days out receive a refund minus costs. 6–14 days: 50% refund. Less than 6 days: no refund. Date changes are at our discretion.
3.3 Private Tours
Private bookings are exclusive. Any date changes incur a 20% fee and are subject to availability. Cancellations more than 14 days out receive 80% refund. Less than 14 days: no refund.
3.4 Operator Cancellations
Sideways Tours may cancel or modify itineraries if necessary. If we cancel, we’ll offer a reschedule or full refund. If changes are required mid-tour, we will offer an equivalent experience or a partial refund where applicable.
3.5 Change of Itinerary
Venues may vary due to availability or unforeseen circumstances. Any substitution will be equivalent in value and quality.
4. Payment Terms & Fees
Public tours require full payment upon booking. Private tours require a 20% non-refundable deposit, with the balance due 14 days prior to the tour date.
5. Alcohol & Safety Policy
Alcohol consumption is prohibited in vehicles. Venues may refuse service to intoxicated guests. Guests must follow safety protocols and wear seatbelts in vehicles.
6. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years. They are transferable, but non-refundable. Price differences may apply if tours have increased in cost since purchase.
7. Privacy & Security
Customer information is treated with the strictest confidentiality. All payments are encrypted and processed securely.
8. Departure Points
Exact departure locations will be confirmed before the tour. It is the customer’s responsibility to board the correct vehicle at the scheduled time.
9. No Show
Tours run on a tight schedule. If you are not present at the pickup point within 5 minutes of the confirmed time, the tour may proceed without you and no refund will be offered.
10. Damage
Guests are responsible for any damage caused to vehicles or venues, whether intentional or accidental.
11. Photography & Marketing
Images captured on tour may be used in marketing materials. Guests may opt out in writing before the tour begins.
12. Customer Responsibility
Guests are responsible for their own food allergies, appropriate conduct, and adherence to safety protocols.
13. Right to Refuse Service
Sideways Tours reserves the right to refuse entry to the vehicle or participation in any part of the tour to any guest displaying intoxicated behaviour, abusive language, aggression, or any action that may compromise the safety, comfort or enjoyment of other guests or the tour guide. This includes, but is not limited to, individuals under the influence of alcohol or drugs, displaying antisocial behaviour, or refusing to follow safety instructions. In such cases, no refund will be provided.
This right is exercised in accordance with Australian consumer law and occupational health and safety regulations.
14. Liability
Sideways Tours is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained during a tour. Participation is at your own risk.
15. Additional Clause – Weather and Unexpected Conditions
Tours proceed in all weather conditions. However, in the case of extreme weather or emergencies, we reserve the right to reschedule or adjust the tour accordingly.
